Who we are

Uniting Wimmera, previously known as Wimmera UnitingCare, support Wimmera communities by working with vulnerable children, youth and families and those living with mental illness or a disability. We provide housing support and deliver early learning and kindergarten services.

We have joined with other community service organisations across Victoria and Tasmania to form a single organisation Uniting.

Uniting works alongside people of all ages in local communities across Victoria and Tasmania and is the community services arm of the Uniting Church in Victoria and Tasmania.

Uniting Wimmera has offices in Horsham and Ararat.

Our services and outreach extend across an area of about 50,000 square kilometres throughout the Wimmera Southern Mallee, including Horsham Rural City; Northern Grampians; Hindmarsh; Yarriambiack and West Wimmera with some services extended to parts of Ararat Rural City and Pyrenees and Buloke Shires.

Uniting Wimmera now deliver over 60 different programs and help more that 8000 Wimmera people every year.

We continue to strive for improvement, our programs are constantly measured against best practice principles and we are a direct service provider for a number of State and Federal government departments.
